Rotary Unions

The conveying of heating and cooling media into a rotating body is a common requirement in many industries. We are able to supply a wide range of seals that can be used to solve this problem.

However in most cases the most effective solution is to use a complete ready made rotary union assembly.

FTL Technology offer traditional heavy duty rotary unions. We can supply both mono and duo flow rotary unions up to 450mm nominal bore and designs capable of 400°C at 13 bar, depending on application.

Other special purpose rotary unions are available using our extensive rotary seal knowledge and CAD design capabilities to custom build almost any type of union that you may require.

We are able through our in-house Engineering Team to design and manufacture custom built rotary solutions, for specialist applications, such as the cooling of straightening rolls on continuous casting equipment.

FTL Technology have had a long relationship with Maier who's hot oil rotary joints are second to none. Other high pressure rotary joints can be supplied to suit specific applications. Maier offer a full range of rotary joints and have developed a hot oil rotary joint able to run 400°C and high speed, without the need for unscheduled maintenance.

We can also offer specialist Rotary Unions from Duff Norton and Glyco.
