Polyurethane Mouldings

FTL Technology prides itself in its ability to provide solutions to problems of leakage, friction and wear to its customers. This means that we must have at our disposal an armoury of techniques and materials with which to solve these problems.

Polyurethane is a versatile material, falling in terms of material characteristics between rubbers and plastics. That is, they are rubber like and so good at returning to their original shape after loading and they are exceptionally tough and wear resistant at temperatures up to approximately 90°C.

This makes homogeneous polyurethane particularly suitable for load bearing and wear parts.

A range of microcellular elastomers also exist. These exhibit exceptional energy absorbing characteristics and because of their almost uniform deformation versus load curves, are well suited for shock absorbing type applications.

FTL Technology grades of Polyurethane elastomers can be cast , moulded, machine turned, sprayed or coated.
