Sliding Bearings for High Temperature, Aggressive Media and Poor Lubrication

Satellite Application for PTFE propellantGraphalloy is a unique self lubricating and non-galling bearing material suitable for dry running. It is capable of operation from cryogenic to elevated temperatures up to and in excess of 400 Celsius. The material works in acids, alkalis, hydracarbons, liquid gases and many other aggressive industrial fluids.

In adopting Graphalloy in problematic applications, operational reliability can be improved, with resultant reductions in downtime and maintenance costs.

Over the years FTL Seals has become more and more involved with bearing problems associated with sealing problems.  So much so that www.ftlseals.co.uk has become an initial search point for a whole host of bearing problems.

Many pump manufacturers now turn to GRAPHALLOY®,supplied by FTL, as soon as any hint of "dry running" is mentioned.

GRAPHALLOY® can be used on dry start ups or where the bushes are starved of product lubrication. One particular example is the Malampaya Deep Water Gasto Power Project in the South China Seas where the pumpline shaft is over 70M in length .GRAPHALLOY® is used in many applications where high and low temperatures are encountered, aggressive media are involved or poor lubrication is the norm.
