About Us

FTLFTL Technology was created over 35 years ago and supplies sealing and bearing products. Additionally we are involved in the design of specific engineered sealing and bearing solutions to solve individual customer problems. The business is managed by four executive directors and employs 33 people, 20 of whom are qualified engineers. It is located in purpose-designed premises in Leeds, and the facilities comprise a suite of modern offices, warehousing facilities, workshops, test facilities and a clean assembly room. FTL Technology is a leading provider of sealing, bearing and engineered solutions. We are approved to ISO 9001 and an accredited IiP. We are a company led by our technical knowledge and relish solving problems of sealing, durability and friction.

Areas of Expertise

Our areas of expertise include the following:

Sealing Solutions
The supply and distribution of leading brand sealing products Including Merkel, Simrit, Carco and Elring in addition to our own-brand Meridian products. Our technical problem solving in high pressure reciprocating, and rotating sealing is second to none. We provide seals in a multitude of materials including; NBR, HNBR, Viton® and PTFE for a wide ranging number of industries.

Bearing Solutions

We provide sliding element bearing technology to many different industries. Our products excel in high and low temperature applications, with aggressive media and in equipment where a lubricated for life regime is required or where dry running is often encountered.

Engineered Solutions

Increasingly, clients turn to us for help in solving specific sealing, bearing and frictional problems. We have invested in state-of-the-art research, development and design technology in order to deliver a first-class design service, working closely with clients from concept to installation. Our Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD System has allowed us to become involved in an increasingly wide range of engineering problems, for which we have been asked to find engineered solutions.

FTL Technology is located in the heart of the UK just south of Leeds, equidistant between London and Glasgow. Conveniently situated for the M1 and M62, the crossroads of Britain.

  • Exit the M62 at Junction 27
  • Take the A650 signposted Wakefield
  • Turn left at 'The Toby Carvery' public house
  • Take the 2nd turning on the left and FTL seals is approximately 250 metres ahead on the right
